I have used your lite version, I understand and agree your product is the best, BUT, with ALL the backup pluggins I am perplexed about how to restore?a site if its blown up and you do not have access to the Wp-admin backend.? I mean if the site has crashed you rarely if ever have access to the Wp-admin, so this is obviously when you need the restore function the most, but all the pluggins don’t seem to have a simple way to restore?unless you DO have access to Wp-admin.?? How do you restore, fast and easy, (from cloud backup version with Pro) using your pluggin?

    Hi,

If you cannot access your WP dashboard you can use this guide to restore your website.

Alternatively, you can restore everything from scratch. Here’s our guide for that.

    Thanks,

Thank you for your reply. So, it seems to me that this method below from your resources is the best way:

======Finally… if your WordPress site is too broken to log in to, and you have an UpdraftPlus backup, then you can just delete the broken site (or better, move it elsewhere – just in case it still has something you might want in), make a new install of WordPress and UpdraftPlus, and go from there instead. It’s not necessary to go the manual route until you really need to!============

Doing this method will also create and load the DB?

Yes, normally you should not need to do anything normally.

You can just set up a blank WP install, install UpdraftPlus and restore your files. You would Upload/download (depending on where the back is stored) all of your backup files including your DB. Once you have restored the backup, your site should be as it was at the time of the backup. It’s normally a simple process and can be done in minutes in most cases.
