Translating “Select bank” string in Przelewy24 payment method

    Hi!

    I am using your plugin for the payment method used in Poland. It is Przelewy24 (cpsw_p24).

    Unfortunately, the placeholder in the dropdown with the list of Polish banks is in English not Polish. How to translate it into Polish?

    I do not know if such info is important, but I use the WPML plugin for translations. However, WPML does not find the “Select bank” string for translation.

    In the meantime, I found something interesting:

    It turned out that the displayed translation of my string depends on the browser language settings, not on the currently enabled language of my blog (with WPML plugin). (The investigation I have performed in Firefox.) See the attached screenshot.

    If somebody wants to read my blog in Polish it does not mean that the browser language is Polish (Like in my case.)

    The Przelewy24 payment method is displayed only in the Polish version of my blog. So instead of “Select bank” I should have “Wybierz bank”.

    In addition, the Polish payment method should have by default Polish labels, placeholders, etc, not English.

    Please advise me on how to do it.

    Hello @gregosz,

    1. We suggest using the LocoTranslate plugin. Our plugin is not fully compatible with WPML, but with LocoTranslate, the “select bank” text is not available for translation because the payment UI is controlled by Stripe.
    2. As you mentioned, the payment UI loads inside an iframe and is managed by Stripe itself. We do not have any control over the texts shown inside the iframe, which means we cannot style or change the text strings.
    3. I will share this scenario with our internal team, and they will review and plan accordingly based on feasibility and priority. If there are any updates, I will inform you of the status.

    Hi!

    I have tried with the Loco plugin but without success. Loco does not find “Select bank” for translation.
    Have I understood correctly that nothing can be done about it for now?

    Yes, since the text is loaded and controlled by Stripe, we cannot change it.
