Shipping prices not displaying or displaying 1 digit only

I just tried this on your site, and I saw the shipping cost as 4,000, here’s on the cart page:

Can you tell us if you’ve been able to fix the issue? Or if it’s an intermitent issue, or if it happens with certain products only.

Please share the steps we should take to replicate this.

This is an intermitent issue. In fact, this is what I noticed:

• I add the fix price for a specific zone (we receive orders with shipping price included)
• The price stops displaying or shows a 1 digit price (so we start receiving orders with shipping in $0)
• I go to shipping options and introduce the price again
• The price displays again in checkout (checking from incógnito mode). So we start receiving orders with shipping price included.
• After some time, the price stops displaying or shows a 1 digit price. (so we start receiving orders with shipping in $0)

Some thoughts:

• I don’t think it’s a caché issue as customers from different connections see or don’t see the shipping price. In 3 sites we have Cloudflare chache active, but it also happened in sites where I don’t have that plugin.
• In many sites I had this issue (since 2 months ago) this was fixed only by introducing the price again. However, I have 3 sites where the issue reappears.
• In one of my sites, I tried replacing the Fix price option for Local shipping and the issue didn’t apear back (since yesterday morning)

Thanks for the information.

I noticed that you use a dot for the thousand separator and comma for decimals.

We are currently investigating an issue regarding to shipping when those are the website settings, so I believe this is what is happening.

Can you please try deleting the shipping method once more and adding it again with the shipping cost as 4000 (without the comma) and let us know if the issue persists?

I never write prices with comma or dots. I just enter the number: 4000. However, after saving and open the shipping method setting again, the system automatically sets it with comma and dots.

The WooCommerce adds a comma as a thousand separator in shipping costs.

It looks like the screenshot you tried to share did not go through.

To diagnose the issue effectively, I suggest you create a staging site.

Results were always 4000, with either classic or block-based Checkout, and with Argentinian peso or Euro, as currencies. Bellow, I am attaching screenshots, for reference:

You are seeing this ok because I accidentally edited the shipping zone to show you how I typed the shipping cost in $4000 for last ticket. However, after one day, the shipping stops displaying again. This is exactly the issue I’m trying to report.

In fact, I have another purchase (made after the test you made) where the shipping cost is not being charged and appear in $0

(The shipping cost is set in $5000. I didn’t open the shipping so it doesn’t affect the testing)

The fact that the issue is recurring even after you reset the shipping cost is unusual. Also, the error showing only 1 digit for the shipping cost on your other site is definitely not the expected behavior.

Can you please head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

• WooCommerce transients – Clear
• Expired transients – Clear
• Clear template cache – Clear
• Capabilities – Reset Capabilities
• Clear customer sessions -Clear
• Product lookup tables – Regenerate
• Regenerate the product attributes lookup table – Regenerate
• Update database – Update
• Verify base database tables – Verify

Next, please clear your browser and site cache and monitor the issues.

For past cases, adding the value without the comma or dots solved the issue. And we also did not have reports of it working and then not working again. So it is possible that the issue with your website is different.

I did all this: 

1- Can you please head over to WooCommerce → Status → Tools, and do the following:

2- I deactivated all plugins except Woocommerce

3- I deactivated all cache plugins and cleared browser caché

4- I changed the Theme for Twenty Twenty four. 

5- In order to try all variables, I created a new shipping zone but using Local pick up shipping method instead of fix price.? The fix price method (listed first) is not displaying and the local price method (listed second) is displaying (See image below). However, shipping method seems not to be the issue as in other sites I put all shipping with local pick up and the issue is still happening?
