Pre-check fields before opening form

Good Afternoon Konrad,

I have a post archive with an ‘edit’ link on each post that will open an ACFE form. I need to pre check fields in the selected post to see if the post is editible by the user or not. If checks=true,, I want to open the form as normal,m however, if checks-false, I either want to open the for with the fields filled but disabled, or open a different page.

Do I use an ACFE hook for this?
