• Resolved appencreations

    (@appencreations)

    Using the Lite version.

I’m trying to restrict access to booking an appointment until the customer is registered and logged in. I have managed to get the page to redirect to the Login/Registration form, which is then completed and a new user is created but it is then still not letting that user access the restricted pages. It redirects to the login page (ignoring my requests in settings) and I get message ‘You are already logged in.’ It redirects here whenever I click on a restricted page.

HOWEVER, if I am logged in as an admin it works. Just not if I’m an ARMember.

I found another closed topic that suggested it was javascript so removed all the plugins other than this one and Booking Press and WPBakery – same thing occurred.

    Any advice appreciated. Many thanks.

    Hello,

Regarding “user access the restricted pages”. if you have restricted the page from the ARMember Lite -> Content Access Rules page, please confirm that you have allowed the “User Having no plan” option and all the membership plan options.

So, this will allow to member having no plan and also allow who has a membership plan.

After saving Content Access Rules, please clear all cache and let me know how it goes.

    Thanks

Hi – thank you for your reply. Im struggling to attach screenshots.

In Content Access Rules I have:

    Default Restriction – ON

Users having no plans – Mixed. Unticked for the ones I do not want them to have access to without logging in

Free Membership – All ticked. Access to all.

I’ve tried clearing the cache as well.

    Hello,

I have checked at the local server and there is no such issue found, kindly check with a test user which has the Free Membership Plan access to the appointment page, try checking at the private browser.

Please check accordingly and let me know how it goes.

    Thanks

Hi – checked private browser. Same thing is happening.

Would you want to check it out?

Password to get through password protect is lala

    If you click on ‘Book Online’ it should take you to a login form. You can either login with my test account;
    miriam
    test1234

Or register as a new user.

Once logged in, I want it to go to the Bookings page. It just says ‘You are already logged in’ and you cannot access any restricted pages as a user.

    Many thanks, Miriam

Hi – this keeps closing as resolved. The issues is still not resolved! Did you get a chance to test it out?

Once this is sorted we can go live.

    Many thanks, Miriam

Hi – just wondering if anyone has a spare few minutes to help with this. Want to go live this week…

    Hello,

I have checked the registration with a user, and the Book Appointment page is restricted therefore kindly follow the below provided steps and also make sure that you are using the latest version of ARMember Lite (v4.0.35) if not then kindly update the plugin and then follow the steps:

    1. If you are willing to allow the logged in members to access the page then kindly check at the ARMember Lite -> Content Access Rules page here you can turn on the default restriction switch also, to allow the members who are logged in and having no plan to their account, kindly check the checkbox for “Users Having no plan”.

    2. If you want to allow the plan users to also access this page then check the checkbox for the plans as well and then save the changes. And now create a new test user and then check by logging in with/without any plan into their account in a private browser. Also, if you are using a caching system then, kindly check by temporarily deactivating the caching system from the plugin or server side caching.

Kindly follow these steps and then let me know how it goes.

    Thanks

    Hi

The same thing is still happening. I’ve removed the cache plugin and it is still not working.

I have changed your ARmembertest account to an admin account. Do you want to nip in and check the back end? Please be aware that the front end will work with an admin account. It is only not working with non-admins.

    Thank you! Miriam

    Hello,

Upon further checking with a test user, everything seems to work properly as soon as the user logs in and tries to access the Book-Appointment page then that page is accessible properly without any issue, therefore kindly check with a new test user.

And let me know how it goes.

    Thanks

    Thanks.

No – it still wasn’t working. BUT I’ve figured out you can over-ride the general settings in each individual page using shortcodes and THAT has worked.

So just need to do that page by page now.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hi,

I’m glad to hear that you’ve found a solution by using shortcodes to override the general settings!

    Thanks
