How to update GP Premium without key

Hey there,

hope you are well. I am currently using Version 2.3.1 of GP Premium after my licence key expired on May 2, 2023. At that point, I had set my website and did not need any of the extra features or support anymore.

Now it seems like my website got infected with Malware and one of the possible entry points for that is the outdated GP premium plugin. I am not able to update it anymore since I do not have an active licence key, but from what I was understand it should not be required to keep the website running (in a safe way) even after it expires.

So now my question is how can I update it to 2.4.1 which added “Security: Harden variable against XSS attacks” – or do I even still need it? I am afraid that my website might break once I delete the plugin since I used some premium features while the key was still active.
