We understand the value of being able to map special mail tags directly to Airtable fields. However, due to the complexity of implementing this feature, we’ve decided not to include it in the plugin.
This functionality would require significant changes, including:
- Modifying the behavior of key functions like
get_mapped_tags_from_contact_form().
- Designing a complex admin interface to handle the numerous special mail tags (see the full list here), with options like toggles, text fields, or custom field types.
Given these challenges, and to maintain the plugin’s simplicity and focus, we’ve opted to prioritize other enhancements that align more closely with our current roadmap.
