Not sure what exactly happened as I haven’t really changed anything, but the theme I’m using is completely messed up in internet explorer. It looks pretty good in firefox, but I checked the other day with IE and wow. Check Shoepiddydoo.com in IE to get the full extent. Any ideas how to get it all lined up right again? It’s beyond me

It’s not all messed up when you look at it? Wow, when I pulled it up it was like everything was on top of each other at the bottom of the page.

    Here’s a screenshot – https://news.tangatawhenua.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/12/ShoepiddydooScreenShot.png

I don’t know what it’s supposed to look like but it looks the same in FF ??

Weird. I wonder why it looked like that in mine. That’s how it’s supposed to look…except the background color is supposed to match the color around the box and such….any idea how to sample that color and change the background color to match? So far I can’t get an exact match because I can’t get the color code from the “pink” around the main content box. Thanks so much for helping with this!

I usually use PhotoShop’s eyedropper tool there are a few online programme what allow for the same functionality, that would work.

I don’t exactly know which colour you are referring to but when I checked I got 891C6B – is that what you’re talking about?

I tried to use photoshop too, but once I go outside the photoshop workspace I can’t use the eye dropper. Am I missing how to use it in the way I need to? When you look at the site look at the menu bar that has the “shoe of a different color, deals, etc” on it. Then the main content box that is grey has a pink square around it in the same color. I want the background color to match those items so it looks like a cohesive page.

hmmm, try taking a screenshot of the image, save it and open in PS, then use the eyedrop tool that will give you the correct code ??

Hey would you have any idea how to fix what I messed up today! If you go to the site, I’m trying to get the navigation to all fit on the menu bar, and I can’t figure out how to get them spaced in one line. Also, the page name displays above the main content box and I can’t figure out how to get rid of that. Any ideas?

ouch! hmmm, I suggest you go to the original theme file (zipped) and find the css file, copy it back to your WP files and start again!

Always try to keep copies of the css, especially if you’ve changed AND you like it – that way you don’t have to work through all bits you want back.

yeah already did that, and didn’t save before I jacked it all up. OOPS!

The original should still be available via your zip file. That css file wouldn’t have changed…

Yeah I changed the css file, and never saved it. So the original is no longer applicable other than to get me back to square one. I already reloaded that, now I’m just trying to go through and fix all the stuff I tweaked before. I wish I would have saved it!
