Unable to Remove Number of Rooms up to 3 in Vik Booking Plugin

    Dear Vik Booking Support Team,

    I am currently working on customizing my hotel booking system using your plugin. I want to limit the number of rooms selectable by guests to a maximum of 2. However, I am unable to remove the option to select up to 3 rooms. I have tried to do this using custom CSS code, but it hasn’t been applied successfully.

    Here are the steps I’ve taken:

    • I attempted to hide the selection for 3 rooms using custom CSS, but the changes were not reflected on the front end.
    • I also explored the plugin settings but couldn’t find a way to limit the number of rooms through the UI.

    Could you please provide guidance on how to remove or limit the number of rooms to a maximum of 2? If this requires specific CSS or JavaScript adjustments, I would appreciate detailed instructions.

    Hi,

    There’s an apposite setting in the page “Global – Configuration” of VikBooking to define the “Number of rooms”. If you wish to limit that value to 2, then you should just change it to 2 and click the Save button. This way, the drop down menu will list the options for 1 room and 2 rooms only.

    There’s no need to apply any customization, because that configuration setting is used to build the list of rooms to book.

    and best at all it’s that if you select 1 as room numbers, the combobox in search plugin disappear !!! (great work)

    Hello @superpepo, thanks for your message. We are not sure to have understood what’s disappearing in your plugin settings, but choosing “1” as number of bookable rooms from the Search Parameters, will intentionally disable the drop down menu to choose the number of guests for each room, and will only display the number of adults, and eventually children, for the single room to be searched and booked.
