    WordPress Version: 6.6.1
    EventPrime Version: 4.0.4.2

    Hello,

I have a problem with the event details page and have no idea where I have to check the correct shortcodes etc. We are using EventPrime for some months and everything works fine, but with the version 4 update everything got messed up.

Currently, we provide an overview grid layout where the upcoming events are listed. That’s fine so far. But when I click on an event, it gets redirected to the wrong page. Die URL seems to be okay, but differs from the one on your demo page. All events list to a page in this pattern:

That’s quite nice. But a click on it redirects to a wrong page, which I configured to be a draft, which is why normal users see a 404 page.

What I want is to see the detail page as in your demo: https://demo.theeventprime.com/events/?event=1402

To have the slug for an event name, is quite nice, but not necessary. Where can I configure the redirection and what do I have to do to get this event details page back to work? Worked everything as expected in Version 3.

    Thanks and best regards
    Christian

Thank you for reaching out to us.

To ensure that the pages associated with our plugin are correctly assigned and have the required shortcodes, please follow the steps below:

    • Log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
    • Navigate to “Events” in the sidebar menu.

If you’re using our plugin or the [em_events] shortcode on your homepage, please follow these additional steps:
Create a New Page: Navigate to your WordPress admin dashboard and create a new page.
Add Shortcode: Insert the shortcode [em_events] into the content area of the newly created page.
Set as Homepage: If this page should be your homepage, go to Settings > Reading and set this page as the homepage.
Update EventPrime Settings: Visit EventPrime > Settings > Pages tab. In the ‘Events Page’ dropdown, select the page that was set as the default Events page when EventPrime was installed.

If the issue persist please let us know. We are here to help.

Sorry, I have the same problem and I don’t really get your answer.
If I’m klicking on an event in my calndar view, f.e. https://sifj.ch/events-2/ 1st of october, there opens a new page https://sifj.ch/events-2/?event=4078 with the 404-error.

where exactly do I have to insert the [em_event id=”4078”] code so that the event is shown on a specific page?

Or is there some kind of automatism so that the program creates a specific individual page for every event?

By the way, if I create a page with the code [em_event id=”4078”], for example https://sifj.ch/jid-241001, I get

    iCal Export
Es gab einen kritischen Fehler auf Ihrer Website

    Thanks for your help

    Hi,

I’ve got the same problem. Til now I’ve tried to set friendly subs in SEO and also creating a new event page with [em-events] and reassigned in settings.

    Any Idea?

Thank you for your message. We have noticed that the shortcode you mentioned is not correct. Please use the following shortcode to display events:

    [em_events]

Sorry, but this shortcode displays the calendar.
I need – in addition to the calendar view – a page per event on which only the event is displayed. For example if I click on the event of 1st of October in my calendar https://sifj.ch/schweizerisches-institut-fuer-judikative/wissensvermittlung/events-2, I get the webpage https://sifj.ch/schweizerisches-institut-fuer-judikative/wissensvermittlung/events-2/?event=4078 with an 404-Error.
I need the solution for this problem.

I solved it by re-selecting the correct page in EventPrime > Settings > Pages tab. In the ‘Events Page’ dropdown I selected the correct page again and now I have no 404 redirects.

It was kind of difficult to find, because the translation of the corresponding page is wrong (it is “Website Veranstaltungen” which can mean a whole lot, but should be “Veranstaltungswebsite”) which is why I looked at the wrong places.

    Thanks for your help ??

    Thank you for answering.

Sorry for my typo. In the page which is referred at “Website Veranstaltungen” includes the shortcode [em_events] (with underscore)

This page opens the calendar view in the way I suspected. but if I click at the one actual existing entry, i will led to https://ghu-helper.info/ep-events/harmony-life-festival-bei-bremen/ which shows an 404 error.

The slug “harmony-life-festival-bei-bremen” is exact the one, which is shown in the event editor at “Titelform”. the part “ep-events” is equal to the setting I′ve made at “settings/general/SEO/Events Subdirectory”.

If i disable “Enable Pretty URLs” a click an the entry in calendar will led to the URL
https://ghu-helper.info/events-mit-eventprime/?event=688 which produces also an 404… The part “events-mit-eventprime” ist the permalink of the page i set up at “Website Veranstaltungen”.
    So whats going wrong?

    Hello @cmeter ,

I see you spotted an incorrect German translation for EventPrime. Can we request you to make the correction in EventPrime translation project, here

And if you can spare some time, you can also contribute to other untranslated strings. We wish to see EventPrime support German locale 100%, and we are about halfway there.

    Many thanks!

I submitted a corrected version of the translation in question ?

And I will submit some more strings ??

Sorry but your explanations are not very helpful.
On the page How to publish WordPress events on your website? you write

    6. Individual Event Page [em_event id=”x”]

Use this shortcode when creating a page to display a single Event. Replace the value of ‘x’ in the shortcode with the ID of the Event you want to display.

I’d like to know where I add which shortcode exactly so that when I click on an event in the calendar it opens an individual page for this event. And this for each separate event.
Do I have to create manually a individual page for each event?

    Plugin Support EventPrime Support

    (@eventprimesupport)

To create an individual page for each event you can use the shortcode as follows:

    1. Use the shortcode [em_events id=”{EVENT_ID}”] to display a specific event on a page.
    2. Replace {EVENT_ID} with the unique ID of your event (e.g., 4078 for “EGMR Urteil i.S. Klimaseniorinnen – Streitgespr?ch zu den ?Spielregeln?”).

Note: You can find the event ID in the URL of the event.

    (@chtst)

Ok, on the first glance this seems to work. But the I’m getting error messages anyhow. Please have a look at this two pages:

https://sifj.ch/eventtest/ and https://sifj.ch/eventtes2 The first one is working the second one gives an error message. I can’t see a difference of the two pages in word press; did I make a mistake?

And then an additional question: do I have to create manually such an event page for each event ??? That’s not very sophisticated (f.ex. in The Events Calendar this page is created automatically for each individual event).

And the most important question: how does the calender view know the name of that page I created for the event. The calendar page has the url https://sifj.ch/events-2/ If I click on the event from october 1st (event ID 4078) this opens a new page https://sifj.ch/events-2/?event=4078 with an 404 result.

    Thanks for help
