URL structure below wordpress install

    My WordPress is installed at site.tld/support/. Currently I have my default language there. What I mean by this is that homeurl, siteurl is site.tld/support/.

    I wish to have my additional language at the following path with Polylang: site.tld/en/support/ – one directory path below the wordpress installation.

    site.tld/en/support/ folder, is just a symlink to site.tld/support/ so there should be no technical limitation.

    In Polylang now, I can’t get it to work. How can I get this URL structure to work?

    I can seemingly only get site.tld/support/en and site.tld/support/ to work but not site.tld/en/support/.

    Hello,

    What you request is not possible. We use rewrite rules to modify the URLs and add the language code. Rewrite rules are relative to your WordPress install. There’s no access to modify what’s before the last slash of site.tld/support/. And in fact the language code is added at the beginning of the rewrite rules.
    If you are interested in, you can use a plugin like Rewrite Rules Inspector to see how the rewrite rules look like on your site.
