Hiding [youtube] in excerpt

You will notice that the tron blog entry is missing an excerpt at the moment. I just didn’t want to show the ugly youtube video destroy my page

I have an idea if anyone can do this.

Is there any way to have the content tag display an excerpt entered in the box under the post box when there is no more tag in the post? Like a custom type deal?

I’m not that good with PHP.

use the_content instead of the_excerpt function and put the <!--more--> tag in content

I am using the_content..
But I want to video to not show up, but it’s before the more tag

And the more tag..

But the video is at the top of the post, so it shows up in the excerpt created by the more tag

ok…so you don’t want to video. then need filter for the content.

Ok, so how do I do that?
