Presentation width and class or ID has no effect?

I created a post type, taxonomy & field group. My field group has “First name” and “Last Name”, according to the documentation, I should be able to set the fields width, give it a class and/or an id
in the presentation section. None of this is working, did they neuter this functionality in the free version or is it supposed to work? No errors, It tells me the field is updated, but the inspector shows it’s not.
