    Hi! Sender Name is enabled on some sites I manage, so I can avoid the typical “WordPress” sender name for my clients (basically when they change their password for example).

    But here I face a problem: when I receive mails from contact forms on my different sites I can’t see the sender name. I use elementor and on the “sender name” field I have the correct shortcode id to identify them, but as I have that option turned on it overrides it. Is there any workaround

    Hi @gabikod,

    Thanks for reaching out! If you want to override the “Sender Name” using Elementor form settings, you need to disable the “Force From Name” option under the Easy WP SMTP -> Settings page.

    To check if the issue is related to the short-code, you can type a different name (Eg: John Doe) instead and test.

    Hi @darshanaw thanks for your quick reply.

    I’m aware of the option, but it overrides the sender name when I’m being contacted through contact forms. On my Elementor contact forms I have the correct shortcode (and working when sender name is disabled) to visualize the Sender Name.

    So, “Force From Name” really helps on some WordPress mails in order to replace the generic “WordPress” name as a sender but it overrides the name of users that contact us through contact forms.

    Is there any workaround for that situation?

    Hi @gabikod,

    Let me try to explain how this feature works.

    When you disable the “Force From Name” option under the Easy WP SMTP -> Settings page, you can set a default “From Name” (let’s say the default sender name is WordPress) under the Easy WP SMTP settings page.

    This default sender name will only be used if you haven’t set a “From Name” under your contact forms’ notification settings. For example, if you have a different name set within your contact form notification settings (e.g., John), that name will be used when sending those emails instead of the default sender name.

    However, if you don’t receive emails with the user’s name who is submitting your form, it is possible that your email provider does not allow changing the sender name. For example, if you’re using Microsoft 365 as your email platform, they usually don’t allow users to change the sender name. So it’s better to check with your email provider first.

    If your email provider allows you to override the sender name set within your email account, then you need to troubleshoot this issue by deactivating your third-party plugins.
