Hello,

I am experiencing an issue with the image upload functionality on the profile page. The process goes as follows: Upload Photo → Crop → Apply. However, I am unable to press the “Apply” button after cropping the image.

The following error is displayed in the console:

cropper.min.js?ver=1.6.1:10 Uncaught TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading 'scaleX') at i.getData (cropper.min.js?ver=1.6.1:10:26098) at HTMLAnchorElement.<anonymous> (um-modal.min.js?ver=2.8.6:1:1666) at HTMLDocument.dispatch (jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.1:2:40035) at v.handle (jquery.min.js?ver=3.7.1:2:38006)

Environment:
- WordPress Version: 6.6.1
- Theme: SWELL 2.12.0
- PHP Version: 8.2.20
Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this issue?

Issues with the Image cropper has been reported many times
and fixed for some environments, but still some issues.

Try to use another Theme until fixed by the UM developers.

Thank you for your suggestion. I’ve already tried switching to the Twenty Twenty-Three theme and some others like Twenty Twenty-One, but unfortunately, the issue persists even with those themes. It seems the problem is not related to the theme itself. Is there anything else you would recommend, or should I just wait for the developers to address this issue in a future update?

I attempted the method suggested in this thread: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/file-upload-uncaught-typeerror-jquery-cropper-is-not-a-function/#post-17485728, https://github.com/ultimatemember/ultimatemember/pull/1401,but unfortunately, it didn’t resolve the issue. Even after switching to themes like Twenty Twenty-One, the problem persists where I’m unable to apply the crop on the profile picture.

Is there any other solution or workaround that I could try to fix this issue? I would greatly appreciate any further guidance.

Try to do a Theme/Plugin conflict test,
if another Plugin is causing a conflict with UM.

Thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately, I have already tried disabling all plugins, switching to a default theme like Twenty Twenty-One, clearing the cache, and reinstalling Ultimate Member.

Is your web hosting or a CDN using any server/CDN caching?
You can try to look at your Browser’s Network headers response info.

Thank you for your suggestion.
My web hosting is not using a CDN, and I’ve already checked the cache settings. I also reviewed the browser’s network headers, but I didn’t find any issues that seem to be caused by caching. Since resolving this has been challenging, I’m considering disabling image usage for the time being.
