Hey, this should be fixed in 0.2, please verify and report back if it’s not ??

Hi, I have just installed this plugin for the first time and am getting the same problem.
I have 777’d the plugin dir and wp-content/plugins/ too, but no go.

Update! I have now 777’d the wp-content dir as well and it worked!
I’m not happy about the amount of access to dir’s though and will return them to 755 now.
    Please advise, cheers! ??

It means your webserver is configured wrongly, it’s the uploads dir and it should be able to write to that, just like for your file uploads.

In that case it could have been because there was no uploads dir’.
It seems to me you don’t have one until you upload something… I may be wrong? But I certainly didn’t have one.
Anyway, now I have /wp-content/uploads and it is writable, all is well with all other dir’s set to 755.
Thanks for your help and your plugin, you’re a gentleman! :)!
