After last update I was prompted to re-authenticate. My account got disconnected apparently so I followed the on-boarding process. I got the option to connect a new catalog or catalog already connected, so I picked the second one. Anyways, it apparently created a new catalog and now it’s conflicting with the one I already have connected. I’m getting this error now. Would you please advise on how to proceed.

    Hi, @jaspix !

The error message you see is not a critical error, as it may look, but more of an “informational” error: the extension failed to delete the feed you had with Pinterest due to some active promo campaigns you have. This is a good thing; Pinterest wants you to retain your money. It is safe to dismiss the error.

The request to reconnect was caused by breaking changes in the new 1.4.7 version.

On the other hand, I see the problem with a new catalog being created instead of reusing the existing one. We will try to resolve the issue with Pinterest as soon as possible.

    Thank you!

    Thank you for your reply.

I noticed that the new catalog got ingested successfully. I’m not sure if it’s creating duplicated pins for the products that were already there. I hope I’m not spamming Pinterest.

    Hi @jaspix

It seems there was an issue where it was created instead of reusing the existing one. We understand your concern about potentially creating duplicate pins and possibly spamming Pinterest. Our team is currently working on resolving this issue with Pinterest.

In the meantime, I would recommend monitoring your Pinterest account for any duplicate pins and removing them if necessary. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work on this.

    Thanks!

I’ve got the same message. In fact I have 25 of them. It does not help to dismiss them. They just come back on next reload…

I actually deleted the plugin after this. But the error messages are still there.

Can You please advise how to remove them?

Good to hear you’re working on it!

Any update on how to remove the persistent error message after deleting the plugin?

    Hi @jhmaths

Follow these steps to permanently delete plugin data when you uninstall it:

    1. Head to Marketing > Pinterest, then to the Settings tab.
    2. Find the Advanced Settings group, then the Debug Logging subgroup.
    3. Check the Erase Plugin Data setting.
    4. Scroll down to the bottom and click Save changes.

Next, go ahead and uninstall the plugin, then delete it. After that, you’re all set!

I hope this helps! If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

I do not want to delete the plugin, but i need that dumb message, actually 25 of them to go away…

    what do i do?

    Hi @iliafrescocom,

Just like the earlier discussion on this thread, our team is actively working on resolving this issue for you.

We will reach out with an update soon.

    Thank you for your patience.

Just adding to this. I am experiencing the same thing with the duplicate feed. I wish to continue using my old feed that is already assigned to ad campaigns and have well ranked pins. I do not want the new duplicate fee.

Hello I am also having the same problem. Even 3 days ago, the new feed file reported an error that it could not be updated. When I tried accessing the plugin and opening the feed file, a different file appeared than the new feed file on the Pin account. It’s confusing. When will there be an update from you guys and Pinterest, I don’t want to change my current ad. It has been operating for the past 1 year.

    Hi @fwitteam & @ducto333,

Please bear with us as the developers are still working on this issue, so we will continue to monitor their progress and follow-up with you once we’ve got an update to share.

Thanks for bringing this to our attention and for your patience while we work on a possible fix.

The problem is really serious, the new directory is connecting stably then the connection is lost. When I add it again, a new feed file is created, affecting advertising a lot. really bad two

@purplelemur Hope you will update again soon.
