• If I try to access our site in Edge with the VPN option active I get a 403. If the VPN option is not activated or using an other browser there is no problem.

The problem exists now for at least a month I hoped it should be solved during the holiday but it is not.

If I de-activate Solid WP the site is accesible.

I tried these solutions as workaround but no luck: https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/403-forbidden-199/

Hi @markema, glad you reached out!

Can you please confirm if this conflict happens with Edge’s built-in VPN extension? I’m unable to replicate this yet most likely due to my Microsoft account type, but would like to confirm with you.

If so, can you try disabling the “Default Ban List” setting in Security > Settings > Features > Firewall tab > Ban Users and test if it lets you access the site with the VPN?

    Looking forward to your confirmation.

    Hi,

Yes I am using the Edge built-in VPN extension.

Disabling the default ban list didn’t help.

Interesting is that I don’t get the you are banned page or message but the 403 error.

I tried to put my VPN IP in the white list but at this moment I have only an IPv6 address via the VPN.

At the time that I made this ticket I did have an IPv4 that I putted in the white list but that didn’t help either.

If I put my site in the list of sites that don’t need to be contacted over the VPN in Edge than the site is working.

Hi @markema, I appreciate the confirmation!

The Authorized IPs in Security > Settings?> Global Settings accepts IPv4 and IPv6 formats, so you should be able to whitelist the IP address of the VPN.

Can you try this and let me know if it works?

    Hi,

I’ve tested with the Ipv4 and Ipv6 adress in the whitelist but it didn’t help.

    Provider of the vpn:

    SP: CloudFlare Inc

    City: Amsterdam

    Region: Noord-Holland

    Country: Netherlands (Kingdom of the)

According to: What Is My IP Address – See Your Public Address – IPv4 & IPv6

Hi @markema, sorry for the slow turnaround here!

It looks like you found a workaround when using the Edge VPN, so that’s good.

Currently, I’m afraid we don’t have an available account to confirm this issue, so what I can do for now is create an internal report about this for our development team to track the problem and potentially resolve it when we receive more reports than usual..?

Would you be fine with this plan? Let me know your thoughts.

    Hello,

I don’t have a workaround. I tried to give you as much information as possible for fixing the issue.

    It is not working.

If you don’t use the Edge vpn or when you whitelist your own site you even don’t have a clue this is happening.

Yes please create an internal report ASAP.
