• Is anyone else having the issue where you choose a starter site and it gets to about 50% with the message

    “We are building your website

Please be patient and don’t refresh this page, the import process may take a while, this also depends on your server.”

and then it just stops and says “Something went wrong”

this only seems to happen on temporary sites, but why? It’s happened on hostgator and hostinger. Is there some setting that’s preventing the starter sites from working?

  • Hi @nw01aussie,

Sorry for the delay. The import process install required plugins in the background. It might not be done complete in particular server/hosting configuration. If that the case, try installing the plugins manually from plugins administration screen before running the import.

Ok I’ll give that a shot. Which plugins specifically?

    Hi @nw01aussie,

You may see the plugin names appearing in before import process. Ref: https://i.snipboard.io/eRB7LP.jpg

I’ve got the same problem. I am getting the same problem notification. I downloaded the Sydney theme with no problem. When I tried to download the starter theme, “Fashion Shop.” That is where I got the error message. I tried a couple of other starter themes, “Agency (Free),”
I get the same error message and “Photography (Free)”e.

I tried what you suggested: loading the plugins first. I loaded the following plugins first:

    • Elementor
    • WooCommerce
    • Merchant
    • Sydney Toolbox

I then tried to download the Fashion Shop starter site and I got the same error message.

But I noticed in the aThemes Starter Sites Description page that it is only compatible up to 6.6.0. I am running on 6.6.2. Could that be the reason why this is a problem?

    Hi @2024stuart,

I attempted to test out the starter sites import provided by the theme. I can’t reproduce the issue. I did import successfully.

Lower memory limit usually may break the import process. Here is server specifications that are shown under Dashboard > Site Health menu. https://i.snipboard.io/l5O6iN.jpg.

Ensure your site’s server meets these requirements and has proper configurations for other parts.
