    Hi,

I noticed that my Google for WooCommerce plugin lost its connection to Google Merchant Center. Even though I have Jetpack installed, when I tried reconnecting I got an error stating “That site does not seem to be accessible or no longer has the Jetpack plugin installed. Howdy! Google for WooCommerce would like to connect to your WordPress.com site.”

My other google services are still connected.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello @zanniap,

Thank you for reaching out — we’re happy to help!

I understand you’re facing an issue while connecting to Google Merchant Center.

In order to troubleshoot this issue, I would recommend disconnecting and starting the reconnection afresh. Here are the steps you can take:

Next, go to?Marketing > Google for WooCommerce?and set up the connection afresh. You can find?a detailed guide here.

Let us know how that goes. Looking forward to helping you.

    Hi

I disconnected and reconnected all the accounts. It still did not work.

I also tried closing my google merchant account and reopening a new one this still did not work.

I am still having the same issue.

    Hi @zanniap,

Thank you for the additional details. I’m curious to learn a bit more, though, can you tell us:

    • When did you notice this issue started happening? Were there any updates or changes to the site around that time? Maybe a plugin update, a new plugin, a change on any settings, etc.
    • Can you share a screenshot of the error you’re getting? On which specific step does this error appear when you try to reconnect?
    • Please can you also check for JS errors on your browser’s console when trying to reconnect?
    • Kindly also review on your WooCommerce > Status > Logs for any errors related to this, or any fatal errors in general.
    • Can you tell us if your WordPress, WooCommerce, and Google for WooCommerce plugins as well as your theme are all up to date?
    • Which PHP version is running on your server?
    • Since the error message points to a connection with Jetpack issue, have you tried these steps already? https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/

    Thanks!

I had this issue a couple of months ago but I was able to reconnect after disconnecting jetpack and google for woocommerce. The issue started again about two weeks ago and I haven’t been able o grant access to google merchant center since.

Below is what I am seeing when I inspect the console for Jquery Errors

JQMIGRATE: Migrate is installed, 3.4.1 static/??-eJyFztEKwjAMBdAfsgtTtuGD+C1djTWlTWvTMPx7qyj45lPgci43sBXjMjfkBkEg5ZUiGhWs1vfMEF/zEGQH3RG7qBeUFwx3xfr4nCER/0Umka+24S/+Lic1JaonFshW220PRddIDsRVKq3/Zd+lczqNy3g4zss8TeEJF1xFFg==:386

Status Logo in Woocommerce for the Google for Woocommer plugin:

    Error Automattic\WooCommerce\GoogleListingsAndAds\API\Google\Ads::get_account_details { “message”: “The caller does not have permission”, “code”: 7, “status”: “PERMISSION_DENIED”, “details”: [ { “@type”: “type.googleapis.com\/google.ads.googleads.v16.errors.GoogleAdsFailure”, “errors”: [ { “errorCode”: { “authorizationError”: “CUSTOMER_NOT_ENABLED” }, “message”: “The customer account can’t be accessed because it is not yet enabled or has been deactivated.” } ], “requestId”: “6E8JaOSvq8PflX3H2GvfOg” } ] }

WordPress, WooCommerce, and Google for WooCommerce plugins and theme are all up to date.

    I am running php 8.3

I have tried deleting and reinstalling both jetpack and google for woocommerce.

    Hi @zanniap,

Thank you for the additional details. Something’s not clear to me with the screenshots: Do you get the Jetpack error when clicking on Grant access at the Google Merchant Account step? Or what happens when you click Grant access, and when do you get the Jetpack error?

The error from Google seems to be an issue with your Google Ads account, you can review more about this problem and how to solve it here:?https://developers.google.com/google-ads/api/docs/common-errors#authorizationerror.

    More specifically:

Sign in to the Google Ads UI and ensure that you’ve completed the signup process for this account. For deactivated accounts, see Reactivate a cancelled Google Ads account.

Another important question is whether the same email address is being used on your Jetpack, WordPress, and Google Listings and Ads.

    Please let us know!

Yes I am getting the Jetpack error when clicking on Grant access at the Google Merchant Account step. It just keeps stating “That site does not seem to be accessible or no longer has the Jetpack plugin installed.” Even though jetpack is installed and working.

I also double checked my google ads account and my account setup is complete.

    Hi @zanniap

Thank you for clarifying that. So fixing one should fix the other, let’s focus on the Jetpack issue, then! To confirm, have you tried these steps already? https://jetpack.com/support/reconnecting-reinstalling-jetpack/.

Other than that, I see that the xmlrpc.php call is returning a 403 error on your site, as you can see here. Jetpack needs this file to connect to your website. Since your site returns a 403 error for this page, I would recommend that you check the following:

    1. Do you use any security plugins that may block access to this file? If so, could you try to disable them? You might also want to check your site’s .htaccess file for any rules that might be blocking access to the xmlrpc.php file.
    2. Does your hosting provider block access to this file? If you don’t find any plugin that may block access to the file on your site, I would recommend that you get in touch with your host. Let me know if you still have trouble after restoring access to that file and I’ll be happy to help.

    Please, keep us posted.

    Thanks!

    Hi

I did disconnect, uninstall and then reinstalled jetpack.

I was also able to restore access to my xmlprc.php file. I cleared the cache and uninstalled and reinstalled jetpack again, but I am still having the problem.
