I am having problems adding subscribers to a client website. I was able to add people initially when setting up Jetpack, but now only 2 weeks later, both myself and the client can not add a new subscriber using the add subscribers button in Jetpack subscribers.
Also, this site was wrongly identified as commercial. She does not make any money on the site and is a town official who just disseminates information regarding town issues.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi!

I’m sorry to hear you’re having problems adding subscribers to your client’s site! Can you give me any more details on what is happening instead? Do you or your client see any error messages?

As for Jetpack Stats – I can see that someone has already been in contact with our Happiness Engineers recently about the site, and they removed the restriction. To use Jetpack Stats, please follow the flow on this page to certify that your site is non-commercial:
    ?
    https://wordpress.com/stats/purchase/
    ?
    1. Check the boxes that apply to your site, which make it non-commercial.
    2. You will be given the opportunity to make a contribution toward the service if you would like. Any contribution is greatly appreciated!

    Hey @ihearthudsonvalley,

Do you have updates about that, do you still need help? We usually close inactive threads after one week of no movement, but we want to make sure we’re all set before marking it as solved. Thanks!

Hi Sorry, I did not see this before. I tried adding people manually and they just never get added to the list. I don’t see any kind of error message

Also, the site owner experienced the same thing. I also am not able to upload a .csv. I work on the site in Chrome. Not sure if that makes any difference

    Hi Alin,

Do you have any updates? Thanks. I just want to get back to my client as soon as possible. Thanks.

    Hi @ihearthudsonvalley

We heard back from our development team and the issue here is that on a free Jetpack plan, you can only import up to 100 subscribers. In order to add more, you will need to upgrade to a paid Jetpack plan (docs: Import Subscribers: Add up to 100?subscribers).

The Jetpack Creator, Jetpack Social, or Bundle plans (Security or Complete) will allow you to add up to 10,000 subscribers. You can purchase a plan at:

Just so I am clear, do you mean we can only have a LIST of 100 subscribers total? Because the list we were trying to import was less than 100 subscribers and we were unable to add emails one by one.
Or does it mean we can add 100 subscribers ourselves and after that only actual signups through the website will work? If so, is there a limit on signups from the website for the free version?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

There is no limit to the number of subscribers you can have on your site, regardless of the Jetpack plan you use on your site. Once you have added the subscribe block to your site, anyone can subscribe.

However, there is a limit to the number of subscribers you can import in bulk using the importer. If you did not purchase a plan, you can only import up to 100 subscribers.

I hope this clarifies things a bit.

    Hi Jeremy,

OK thanks. So now I am having a new issue where the jetpack subscriber block I had turned on the site is no longer showing…and I still can’t manually add even one person at a time to the subscriber list. ?? Any thoughts?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

That’s annoying! Do you see the block when you go to edit the page or template where you had added it? If not, can you try adding it back?

Are you also able to add it to a different page, just to see if the problem is limited to one page?

Let us know how it goes.

    Hi Jeremy,

So I just tried to edit a page and no, I do not see the block while editing either. Originally the block was showing on the entire site. Now, the only place it is showing is on blogs ie https://susansiegel4yorktown.com/town-board-october-1-2024/

It is all still turned on in the back end. Any ideas of what to try?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

Could you go to Jetpack > Settings > Writing, and ensure that the “Blocks” toggle is active? That may be why the block isn’t available on your site right now.

Let me know how it goes!

HI, I just checked and yes, it is checked on. So it should be showing but is only showing on blogs as I mentioned. ??

    Hi there

There may be something else installed on the site that’s conflicting. The best way to find out if something is interfering is to test for a theme or plugin conflict. You can do this by using the Health Check & Troubleshooting?plugin or Troubleshoot manually. Please follow the steps on the corresponding link:

Let us know how it goes.
