    Hello,
After restoring a Backup file, I got a message in the Amin management of the restored website that a plugin was deactivated because it no longer exists. See the screencapture:
    https://prnt.sc/LuBSeNythrr9
And after checking, a plugin was indeed not included in the backup file. The plugin in question is the ‘Really Simple Security – Simple and Performant Security (formerly Really Simple SSL)’ plugin.
After reinstalling this plugin, everything does work correctly again. But I suppose this is not the intention?
Surely a Backup serves to backup all plugins?
    Which solution exists for this?
    Thank you in advance.
    Best Regards.

  • Hi @alainmelsens ,

Thanks for writing to us today.

Please note that this is the first time of getting such a report, because like you thought too, everything is supposed to be backed up.

But I imagined and want to believe that, it was probably just a non-general bug like a temporary server disruption during the packing process.

Please do let us know if it happens again or if you observe any more anomalies with this.

    Regards,
    Alina

    Hi Alina,
I tested it again several times. Even with a customised FastDup template and a default template.
Each time, the same error returns.

    Hi @alainmelsens ,

OK, Let me consult our dev team, and I will feed you back as soon as possible.

    Thank you.

    Hi Alina,
Perhaps there are special working procedures and/or routines within this plugin that cannot be copied when in progress?
This is what I am thinking about. Am not an expert.

    Hello @alainmelsens,

    Good morning! Appreciate your patience.

It seems that plugin may not have sufficient permissions, so FastDup cannot zip it. Please check it back.

    Hello,
    How can you explain this?
Everything does get copied in the ZIP file, so all plugins from the same folder but 1 and only 1 plugin does not? Either the access rights for everything are the same or not. This doesn’t seem like a really good explanation to me. With that I can’t do anything myself. Have you tested this yourself?
I’m afraid best to look out for another migration plugin. Because this doesn’t solve the problem.

    Hi,
After a new version or Update this afternoon, I noticed that the problem with this ‘Really Simple Security – Simple and Performant Security (formerly Really Simple SSL)’ plugin is still unresolved. After testing this new Update, this plugin was again not copied in the ZIP file.
Of course, only 1 thing can be fixed at the time. I fully understand that.
I sent an email to your support department. I hope this can still be resolved.
I will keep following it up.

    Hi @alainmelsens ,

We have tested on our end with this plugin installed and everything works properly:

    https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/really-simple-ssl/

So this confirms that it is not a general issue, and in this case you can reach our dev team here for further technical support:

    Hi,
I suspect it might have to do with special routines that, depending on personal settings, exchange constant given that prevent this plugin from being copied. In the beginning, this plugin was very simply set up but has since become very enhanced with built-in Firewall and other security settings, which I already use through another plugin.
I have decided to stop using this ‘Really Simple Security – Simple and Performant Security (formerly Really Simple SSL)’ plugin and replace it with another one.
In other words, since the problem only occurs with me then, I therefore consider this problem solved.
