    We run a small website designing firm in India and are late entrant in WordPress ecosystem as till about 2021 end we were with Joomla. Our foray with WordPress began with Rara theme and we tried several popular themes like Astra, Kadence, WP Ocean, Neve and Blocksy. While we did one or two websites in other themes, we did almost 10 websites in Kadence and 30 in Astra. Last month we decided to go in for a paid version and after a serious thought we opted for Astra Pro. Support from the Astra people is wonderful, and they indeed reply to every mail. Yesterday there was an issue of elements’ stacking in sticky header and the issue was resolved in about six hours. That’s just wonderful. Our decision to opt for Astra is vindicated. We are planning to upgrade soon to Essential Toolkit.

    Having said that I wished (Indians are quite demanding) the theme had a few features that I find badly missing:

    1. Background image slideshow in Hero. In Astra there is a provision of video as background, but images slideshow is sadly lacking.
    2. There is no provision of defining thumbnail aspect ratio while making image gallery. Of course, one can do this with CSS, but then that is applied sitewide, and one cannot define different sizes for different galleries.
    3. If one puts galleries in tabs, Masonry and Tiled galleries have display issues.

    Overall, Astra is a fantastic theme, and we are happy with our decision.
