Sub pages

  • I have been given some of the most amazing help in the last 48 hours and I can’t thank all of you enough. I am down to one more issue and then… I can release this page and move on to the next project.

    I have created images for the page links on my twenty ten themed page, but now the drop down doesn’t show when I hover over the image link. Is there a piece of code I erased?The page is latterdaychatter.net

  • How did add those images in did you hard code them in your header.php. if so then you will not be able use custom menu you will have to hard code your drop down as well.

    I hard coded the images… Glad to see you again Govpatel. You were the first person that ever helped me! I am going to learn child Theme’s once this page is done. Then i will go back and fix all the hard code that I have done. Until then I am desperate to get this lady up and going on her new page. I am at a loss as to how to code a drop down. Any help would be appreciated!
    Theme is Twenty Ten and the site is latterdaychatter.net.

    If you are making changes to twenty ten theme than make sure you keep a copy of the the theme as if you update wordpress you will loose all those changes you made so using ftp download twenty ten on your computer before toy update.

    As for having dropdown menu on images I will have check on how do that.

    That is still dynamic pages what happens is that when you a page that code picks up the page from database.

    same with custom menu

    but you have done is hard coded your menu with images and for that you need to hard code your drop down as well as any dynamic way will not work.

    Can you paste your header.php file in https://wordpress.pastebin.com Submit
    and paste the url here and I will see if I can put on my test wordpress see what it will take to create drop down and what menu you want dropdown on as this will have be done manually
    each time you create page.

    Wow I feel bad having you go to all this work.

    I get the feeling the steps would be the same even if I was smart enough to create a child theme, It would just be pased in it’s own file correct?

    I have no idea what you mean by menu…

    The only pages that won’t have sub pages is menu and Store.
