    Hi there,

Forminator is not sending any form submission email to the administrator.

I didn’t make any change to the settings, it just stopped sending them.

    Any help?

    Thanks

    Hi @pheesso

    I hope you’re well today!

Technically speaking, Forminator is not actually sending any e-mail on it’s own. It is using WordPress core function to send them so, basically, it simply tells WordPress core when to send a message, to what address and with what content.

So the first thing to check and confirm here would be about notifications in general: can you confirm if other e-mails from the site are being delivered fine?

By this I mean some standard notifications such as for example new user registration or lost password message. Simplest way to check it is to try the lost password option on standard login page of the site.

If those messages are not delivered too, that would mean the problem is more general.

If they are coming through and only ones from Forminator are not:

    – are they not coming through at all or only to some specific e-mails (e.g. only to Gmail)?
    – is sender e-mail in Forminator configured with an e-mail that’s in the same domain as the site or is it some external email address?
    – are you using any SMTP plugin on site already or just default WordPress setup?

    Kind regards,
    Adam

    Hi Adam,

first of all, I can confirm that other e-mails from the site are being delivered fine.

No, I am not using any SMTP plugin, so it’s just the default WordPress setup.

Just to be clear, I am talking about e-mail notifications to site admins on successful form submission. The e-mails I’ve tried are [at]gmail.com and I have not specified any sender for them.

    Thank you for your help.

    Hello @pheesso

Thank you for the information and sharing screenshots.

Based on the screenshots that you’ve shared, it looks like in the Email Notifications >> Edit >> Advanced tab you’ve added “From Name” – Could you please confirm if this was something new that was added after which the emails may have stopped working? If yes, could you please remove it and test if the emails are sent fine?

Additionally, could you please confirm if you have already checked the Spam/Junk folder just in case if the emails somehow landed there?

Lastly, can you please install a plugin like https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/email-log/ which would log the emails triggered from the site and make a submission on the form, this would also create a log which will help us to understand the issue better in case there is any failure to send the email from the website level.

    Awaiting your response.

    Kind Regards,
    Saurabh

    Hi there,

yes I confirm that I have already checked the Spam/Junk folder and the emails are not there.

That field is not something new that was added after which the emails may have stopped working, anyway I emptied it, then I sent another submission but no notification mail has arrived.

    Hi @pheesso

It many times this could happen to some hosting changes and an SMTP plugin will be required for those cases. Can you install any SMTP plugin, configure it, and see if that helps?

If that will not help, please export your form to Google Drive and share a link in your next reply so that we can review it on our side.

    Kind Regards,
    Kris
