Charging small not for profits

  • We run a small not for profit music organization to present ancient and medieval music. These guys consider our artistic mission a “commercial site” because we ask for donations. I appealed and this isn’t a mistake. They list on their site that not for profit organizations are supposed to pay. It makes no sense.

    Non-profit organizations that solicit donations are indeed classified as commercial sites and require a paid Jetpack Stats plan. If your site does not solicit donations, you can opt for the non-commercial plan and pay what you want. For more details, you can visit Jetpack Stats.

    We need donations to operate. But it’s also a lot easier to delete this plugin and turn on Google Site Kit. At least it’s not bloated with a lot of features you don’t need. All this plugin does is show you stats from a different section of your own site. There’s no value being provided or reason to pay for it.

    What a joke! You will qualify for a free non-profit account as long as you never ask for donations.
