    Hello,
I’m considering this plugin for our site, but I have a question that I’m not seeing in the docs. We currently have a page for each location. We want the locations map to be on the base locations page and allow the user to click a map pin or a pins popup to goto the details page for that location. Is that what the ‘store URL’ setting accomplishes?

    Thx
    -Nik

Hi there Nik, thank you for writing.

Yes, I think that is what you want to achieve. Please have a look at our demo page (https://wpstorelocator.co/demo/), where you will notice that, for every store location either in the search results or in the pop-up windows that show up when you click a pin on the map, there is a link on the store name that takes you to a specific page with more information about that particular store.

This “details” page for each location is based on a template that you can override to make it look as you see fit, as explained in the documentation.

I hope that helps, but please get back otherwise.

Ok, but is that details page template the only option for the linking of the store name, or can I select my own existing page or external url?

Yes, definitely. The default behaviour is to link to the built-in details page, but you can change it to point to a custom url.

Please make sure to check our comprehensive documentation about templates, in particular you may be interested in the following articles:
