Only changes made to a virgin install made from a virgin cPanel WP Tools auto process were:
? remove 404 redirect so use of the two standard to sign ins bounce to the home page.
? added the info for redirect and then cut and pasted into documentation the new address given
    https://invictus.ca/ic120240926101/
Have erased the WPS directory and tried install again just in case the cut and paste copy was incorrect… still no success.
Now both the 404 redirect and this new address for the WP-ADMIN both fail !

What do you suggest needs to be different ?

    Hello,

Thanks for using WPS Hide Login. I did’nt understand anything about your process…

Did you check in the wp_options table if whl_page option were still there ? You can erase it if you disabled the plugin.

Like this other person, I just installed this plugin into a clean fresh WordPress installation. When I activate the plugin and change the URL for the login page to a random string, the form submits and shows me the message:

Your login page is now here: https://www.mysitename.com.php8-40.phx1-1.websitetestlink.comef9agarc/ Bookmark this page!

The trailing / after .com was left off for some reason, but I checked and wp_options table and my whl_page is set correctly to “ef9agarc”. When I manually add the slash back in, I am redirected to the 404 page.
