Even though I turned on the Automatically compress newly-added images option, after adding the product, the product images appear uncompressed. What is the reason for this?

Ensure your server has the required PHP extensions installed, such as gd, imagemagick, vips, etc., to support image compression. Without these, the image compression process might fail. You can contact your hosting provider to confirm that these extensions are enabled. WP-Optimize plugin uses the reSmush.it API to handle image compression. If you have a firewall enabled on your server or hosting environment, it might be blocking communication with this API, which could prevent the images from being automatically compressed.

All the extensions you mentioned are installed on the server side. Automatic compression works without any problems on the site under different domains on the same server with the same WordPress files.

WP-Optimize relies on the reSmush.it API for image compression. Please ensure that your server’s firewall isn’t blocking communication with this API, as this could prevent the images from being compressed. Could you check if there is a firewall installed on your server?
