Numerous typos have appeared on my bio page above (bad spacing, run-together words, duplicate letters). These were not evident in recent months; a site visitor pointed them out to me. Same typos visible on multiple devices, different browsers.

When I edit the page from dashboard, all the corrections are shown. I click “Save”. The changes will not translate to the visible webpage online. I have cleared all the browser caches I can access. Any hints on how to surface these edits and correct my bio?

    Thank you.

Are you using any sort of caching plugin, or do you see a “Clear/Purge Cache” button in your Dashboard or admin bar? If so, would you please try clearing the cache?

Note: You do not need to install a caching plugin at this point just to clear a cache you don’t have. If you don’t have a caching plugin or a way to clear a server-level cache, just say so. ??

There’s a “Purge SG cache” on the dashboard but clicking it has no effect on displayed page. Thanks.

Are you using any other caching plugin or a caching CDN, like Cloudflare?

In my Plugins I see Cache Enabler. Don’t know what CDN is.

    Is “Cache Enabler” active?

    (@tdjones9801)

It has an “activate” option. Doesn’t look active. Dealing with a novice here.

Overall, this means a cache isn’t clearing. WordPress doesn’t have any caching built-in, and based on what you’ve described, that leaves Site Ground’s cache.

Does it work as expected if you turn off Site Ground’s cache?

James–Thanks. Went to siteground and turned off NGINX and flushed Dynamic Cache. MEMCached was not turned on. No effect on my page display. All typos are still there. Is there some other procedure to “turn off Site Ground’s cache”? We’ll keep this thread rolling. Appreciate your patience.

Please check with nocache url. For your url, please check this: https://astronauttomjones.com/about-tom/?nocache

If the issue still persists, please take a screenshot of where you made the changes and how it should look on the front-end so we can compare both parts.

Here is my screen record what I see on my end using nocache url: https://somup.com/cZ6eDpHQBr

    Hello, Kausar:

    1. I went to the nocache url and found the same familiar errors. No change.
    2. Here is the screenshot:

    4. What you showed me in your video capture of my “About” page does contain the errors I am seeing; all the errors are in that first page of text. Lots of run-together words, bad punctuation, etc. Terribly unprofessional. The clean edits you can see in the screen shot reflects the content I want to show up on my page.

    Thanks, — TJ

Not sure if the screen shot made it to you. I can send it via email if you like.

That screenshot is unfortunately incredibly small and blurry.

Can you just share some example text, what it should be, and what it’s appearing as?

    Thanks!

Thanks. On the above edit page, I click “Save” and then look at the page. The edits are not implemented.
