Blocks, Elementor?

    Hi Guys

    I’m a tad confused. Just getting into WordPress and I’m about to set it up on an Ionos hosted server with a ‘1-click’ install.

    However, I thought I was going to build my website (I’m a photographer so need a carousel portfolio gallery) using WordPress’s built-in ‘Blocks’, but after searching around the internet a few folk say Elementor is better and less buggy.

    I like the idea of building a site using WordPress’s own built-in tools, i.e. Blocks, rather than a third party plug-in, just to keep things simple and future proof.

    Any advice?

    I prefer WordPress’s built-in Site Editor and blocks myself, they’re easier to use (for me at least) and more future-proof.

    James, any idea why I can’t post here anymore, tried posting different questions on different forums here, but Admin blocks them all. Am I banned or something? Don’t get it as I’m just posting questions about WordPress, WTF???

    You aren’t banned, but you keep posting the same question repeatedly, despite receiving similar answers every time, and you were asked to stop.

    If you have any follow-ups about the same question, please either reply here or in your other thread about the same question with Otto.

    Repeatedly asking the same question is not productive.

    Basically, when you get blocked for potential spam, then do not post the same thing again, because that teaches the system that what you are posting is potential spam. The automated systems are good, but not smart. ??

    All your posts got through, however they got held for moderation, so we can look at them. The moderators here are plentiful and in every time zone. They will unblock your posts when they can.
