    Hi everyone!

I’ve been using Jetpack (free) since 2018 for my website statistics views and visitors. Last week i’ve made a staging environment (new.reisprins.nl) for my website (reisprins.nl) to redesign my website. At that moment Jetpack switched to this account. After I was finished with redesigning I’ve published my staging website on my original domain again and deleted the staging environment.

The problem is that my Jetpack statistics is stil showing the history from my staging website now, and not my current website. I’d like to have the history of my original website. Does anyone know how I can do that?

    Jetpack Mechanic ??

When you created that staging site, your historical data was indeed moved to that new site, as there were 2 different sites using the same unique ID to communicate with the Jetpack cloud.

I have fixed that discrepancy on our end. Could you please go to Jetpack > Dashboard in your admin dashboard, disconnect your site from WordPress.com using the “Manage connection” link towards the bottom of the page, and then reconnect the site to WordPress.com? That should solve the problem for good.

Let us know how that goes!

Unfortunately that didn’t do anything, I’m still seeing the same stats

Could you try again? You will also want to make sure staging mode is enabled on your staging site. To do that, you can add the following to your staging site’s wp-config.php file:

    define( 'WP_ENVIRONMENT_TYPE', 'staging' );

Let us know how that goes.

Hi, unfortunately that’s not possible. After I’ve enabled my staging website it copied everything to my original website and the staging website was deleted. There is no staging website anymore at this moment, but only my original website that keeps using the statistics of the staging website.

Could you try to disconnect and reconnect your site to WordPress.com one last time? I’ve made some changes on our end to ensure the staging site doesn’t create any more conflicts.

Let me know how that goes.

Hi Jeremy, thank you for your help, but unfortunately I’ve tried to reconnect again but this didn’t do anything. I’m still now able to look at the old statistics history.

Could you try to reconnect following the instructions on that page?

Hopefully that will be enough for you to get your stats back this time.

    Hey @reisprins,

We’re glad to hear you’re all set again ?

If you have a moment, could you give us a review to help us spread the word about our plugins?

That will help us spread the word about our product and the support we provide to our users.

Thanks in advance if you spend some minutes of your time!
