    Home page slider briefly appears with Javascript delay. How can I exclude this from happening?

    yes, please exclude the slider’s related JS from being deferred/delayed in Page Optm -> Tuning -> JS defer/delay exclude

    PS. I added frontend.js but that just leaves the slider slides all open in a column.

    you may need to check inline js as well , you could try use keyword as slide first , it usually contains this word even for inline js
