Make a Catagory Link To Static Page And Outside URL

  • Hi,

    I would like my catagory’s to link to my forum and also to some static pages. Is there any way to do this?
    Right now I have a link from a static page to my forum using the “page links to” plugin.

    The reason I ask is because my themes static page links are small text links where as the catagory links are a proper menu and look nice.

  • A category is a container that holds posts. There isn’t a way to make a category link to anything other than posts in a category by the vbery nature of what it is.

    What you are actually asking for is to change the styling on your static page links, which is a CSS issue. If you are happy with the category links styling you can copy their styling to the class of links you are unhappy with the appearance of.

    I have sorted it out now. I managed to link a category named “forum” to my forum url. I had to redirect the category url to my forum url using a redirection plugin.
