Licensing/contributing question: creating an add-on

    Hi there, I’m developing an add-on for GetPaid that adds user role and membership capabilities.

    Am I allowed to make it public (on www.ads-software.com and github) while clearly stating it is third-party and not owned/developed by AyeCode Ltd?

    If I am allowed to do that, can I use GetPaid’s logo as part of the plugin image/icon?

    Hello,

    Firstly, yes, you can release your own addons for GetPaid, though due to WP rules you would have to name it something like “AXY for GetPaid” and NOT “GetPaid XYZ”. Also, even if we gave you permission to use our logo WP auto review system could still flag your plugin and temporarily remove it, its just not worth using logos, even with permission.

    Secondly, we are in the middle of our own membership plugin development, it will merge our other plugin UsersWP and Getpaid for functionality. (just to make you aware)

    We do not. But it will work only for GetPaid/UsersWP combo and will probably be a paid add-on
