The zelle checkout block says the following:

Please use your Order Number (available once you place order) as the payment reference.

After paying, please come back here and place the order below so we can start processing your order.

So on one hand it asks you to provide information only available after placing your order as the payment reference, but also tells you not to place your order until you’ve paid. I think what should happen is it should say “after placing your order please send zelle payment using the order number as the payment reference”. And there can be some better details about that on the order-received page

Anyone else find the current language confusing?

While the language won’t be changed in the free version, you can customize the language and more to your liking with the PRO version

Seriously, you’re not going to fix incorrect language because it’s the free version? I’m happy to upgrade to pro, but hardly seems like a good business model to say that I have to upgrade because the free version doesn’t work correctly

The free version does work as intended and that wording works as it is. However, if I took requests from everyone on the proper wording, everyone would have their own wording for their customers. And that is why it won’t be changed but everyone gets an option to customize it for their customers. Also, this is a business, you cannot have everything for free.

Yes, just letting you know this is not a matter of opinion but the wording as is creates an impossible use case for the end user.

They can’t get the order number because they haven’t place an order and they’re instructed to place the order only after paying. It’s just wrong.

But certainly a response on par with a 3.4 star rating. Cheers.
