I think I know the answer to this questions before I ask. But, …

Do to poorly coded HTML in many of the 70+ tables that we have on our site we need to check and possibly update all of them. I know about downloading all the tables, making the changes, and importing them back into the site. But, that requires doing the editing on each table one at a time.

My question is, is there any way to do a search and replace across all of our tables in one edit?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hi!

Thanks for your question! Unfortunately, I will indeed have to disappoint you ??

Bulk editing or search/replace is not directly possible inside of TablePress, sorry.

However, the approach regarding export/import that you mention should work — without having to do this one by one! Most good IDEs or text editors (like Visual Studio Code or Sublime Text) support search/replace in multiple files in a folder at once! With that, you would not have to edit each exported file one by one!

    Best wishes,

Thanks, Tobias. I figured that’s what I’d hear. But, the text editors that you mentioned sound interesting.

Tobias, just FYI. NoteTab Pro will do multiple files in a folder.

    Hi,

great! Yes, there are many text editors that can do this. In the end it depends on the operating system and of course personal preference, or even which one you might already have installed ??

    Best wishes,
    Tobias
