Sorry my website is marginal, ha… but I would like to be able to zoom in on gallery pictures for mobile users. I would also like to not have all the pictures displayed on the home page.

I would like the gallery to be displayed with a single picture on the home page. The user would click on the image to open the gallery in another tab and be able to zoom in for better viewing.

I would be glad to subscribe to whatever I need to make this happen, I just can figure out exactly what I need. Thanks for any input.

Update: I have purchased and installed the Pro Starter version, but I don’t really see any difference from the free version.

    Hi @miamihoosier

Based on what you’re looking to implement, it’s currently possible to set up a gallery so that when an individual image is clicked, it opens in a new tab for the visitor to view.

All you need to do is to set the “Thumbnail Link” option to “Custom URL” while creating and configuring the gallery, then set “Lightbox” to “None” and finally on the image themselves, use the attachment modal to set “Custom Target” to “New Tab” as shown in this linked image: https://prnt.sc/xhHOuxgy7Ojq

However, it’s important to note that it is not feasible to have the entire gallery open in a new tab. You can only have individual images within the gallery do so.

That said, you could use the Single Thumbnail Gallery template along with the FooGallery Lightbox or FooBox Lightbox (our standalone lightbox plugin). This setup allows you to display a gallery on a page with a single thumbnail image. When the image is clicked, a lightbox opens, and visitors can scroll through all the images in that gallery. On mobile devices, users can simply pinch the image to zoom in.

If you have any questions, feel free to let me know!

    Best regards,
    Elvis
