Staging site

There are plugins on the store which can do this, unfortunately my personal view is none of them are very decent and any that potentially may be are expensive – especially when like me you have 100’s of sites to maintain.

Anyway one which I do like and is free but requires some effort is “Duplicator”, it would require you to delete the site every time you migrate but otherwise it builds a one click installer – which is nice.

Otherwise google for a paid plugin.

On a side note which don’t help you right now, we are developing our own migration solution – don’t know when that might come to fruition though – we have a working plugin which we are actively using now with our clients, but there is more to do before we can launch it as a viable plugin for the masses.
