• Hello, because I didn’t like the look I removed the heading. Now I would like to try using it and editing it. How can I put it back? The editor doesn’t allow me to put anything above the title.

  • Hello, you can go back and reset the theme to the default if you haven’t started doing a lot of custom work.

Go to the WordPress dashboard and navigate to Appearance > Editor (this will open the Site Editor). Select the Templates option from the left panel. Open the template you’re editing (e.g., Single Post if it’s a single post layout). Click Options (three dots at the top right), then select Reset to default to restore the original template structure.

If you do not want to reset to default, you can manually add the heading block with a group or cover block to get it above the title area.

Hello 4thHubbard, Thanks for your response. I have done a lot of work I wouldn’t want to loose and have to redo. One reason I deleted it is I am a beginner and it was showing up on every page and I didn’t know how to delete it from all the other pages. Basically I have a static front page which links to a number of other pages. Also I didn’t know how to edit it but now my site is getting close to OK so I thought I would make an effort to use the header record.

I don’t really understand your last suggestion but I will look at documentation and it may well lead me to understand.

    Thanks again.
