Allowing users to register and log in

Hi, i am new to wordpress and building my first site based on Twenty Ten scheme. i would like to have a login/register widget visible on my site that allows users to register to my site and then log in. the reason is that i like to have some content visible to everyone, some content visible only to those who register and some visible only to subscribers who pay for the site content.
