Anyone can register is not working

    Hello,

    Under the Settings and General in WordPress dashboard.

    When the check box for Anyone can register is clicked on and changes are saved.

    The Anyone can register remains unchecked.

    How can this problem be solved so that users can register and become members?

    Hi there!

    Can you deactivate all the plugins and try to save the change again? If this does not help, try to Activate any WordPress Default Theme and see if you still have the issue.

    Also, to make sure this issue is not caused by cache, please clear them on the following locations:
    1. Plugin Cache. Any third-party plugin for optimization has caching options. Check to see if it’s enabled on the plugin and clear it.

    2. Server Cache. You can contact your hosting provider to check if caching is enabled on your server.

    3. Browser Cache. Try clearing your browser cache or try from another Browser / Browser Incognito mode.
