Updating to Gutenberg 19.4 or 19.5 (the current latest) causes the Carousel Slider block list appender (“Add Slide”) button to not be rendered. There is no block-list-appender element being rendered within the Carousel Slider’s block-list element. There are no errors or warnings on the console. Reverting to Gutenberg 19.3 resolves the missing button issue.

    Hi @claycarpenter

Are you using the Gutenberg plugin? The Gutenberg plugin is a beta version that may have issues. Carousel block is tested with the stable Core version. When you use the standalone Gutenberg plugin, you’re accessing newer, experimental features that aren’t yet stable in Core.

@claycarpenter please install the latest Carousel Block version (1.0.15) which fixes the issue.

Yup, we’re running Gutenberg plugins to try to test out changes that are coming down the line in WordPress core. Our concern is being prepared with the upcoming WP 6.7 release.

I just tested the updated Carousel Slider Block v1.0.16 against 6.7-RC2 and the carousel slider seems to be compatible, as least as far as the block list appender rendering is concerned. Activating Gutenberg versions 19.3.0 and 19.4.0 also work fine. In Gutenberg 19.5.0 and later, the block list appender is missing.

For the time being, as v1.0.16 seems to be compatible with WP 6.7, we’re fine and don’t have a pressing concern.
