  • Does not work for me either! 2.9.2 here. Is this a joke?

Have you guys read the instructions at all?

    Sure have..

Well then, please elaborate because a statement like “does not work” can not be expected to get much helpful response, can it?

Do you have the latest version of WP Geo activated, configured and working well? Do you have the latest release of WP Geo Mashup Map? What shortcode are you using? Does the shortcode get replaced with anything at all (in page source) or is it simply stripped from the content or not even that?

Do you have a link for me?

I am sorry, but I spent hours trying to make it work, I then installed geo mashup. If I ever get to try this again I will let you know for sure if I got problems, with details this time. It is just that out of frustration and after seeing the original poster having my same outcome, I assumed it was just a badly coded plugin. My bad.

i have wp geo 3.1 set and working.
i loaded this plugin, activated it, created a page where the only content is the basic [wp_geo_mashup] shortcode.
i get a map but with no pins-there should be around 60..
    https://www.aklimbaskayerde.com/haritadan-secmeli/ this is the page
    thank you.

upgraded to wpgeo 3.2.2 and now it works

Yes, there was a core function change in the latest WP Geo upgrade so I has to adapt my plugin too. Glad to hear it works now ??

    Still doesn′t work!

    WP: v. 3.0.4
    WP Geo: v. 3.2.2
WP Geo Mashup Map: v 0.3

Did you get & set your Google Maps API key ? There is no API key in your source code. You need to configure and get WP Geo running first before my plugin can extend it…

    Thread Starter attefall

    (@attefall)

Yes – Google API is in the WP Geo plugin page.

And you can see, below the picture, that the map is up and running at:
    https://blogg.attefall.se/foton/winter-house-at-djurgarden/

Tested to put [wp_geo_mashup] in both HTML and WYSIWYG mode in the page:
    https://blogg.attefall.se/fotoalbum/

Nothing works. Reference URL where it works?

    Any tips?

That is strange… I see the WP Geo script files on that post in the source header:

    <script type='text/javascript' src='https://maps.google.com/maps?file=api&v=2&hl=sv&key=ABQIAAAAZRz-mWOhyCjZXN-bvCD2eBQ0ALTbUHpwTTD3XlgfnTmC21kYOxSEh-umDx9-IVzgwJBgNIlYyFvNlA&sensor=false&ver=2'></script>
    <script type='text/javascript' src='https://blogg.attefall.se/wp-content/plugins/wp-geo/js/tooltip.js?ver=1.0'></script>
    <script type='text/javascript' src='https://blogg.attefall.se/wp-content/plugins/wp-geo/js/wp-geo.js?ver=1.0'></script>

But on the fotoalbum page those scripts are missing. Without those, there can be no map. Can you please test putting the Mashup Map shortcode in that post for me? Just to see if (with whatever strange result with TWO maps alongside each other) it is working there…

Sorry – I am totally wasted – I didn′t click in the button for the map to be seen on pages (done in the WP Geo settings)!

    Working! ??

Can I decide coordinates to be shown in the map?
F?r example – zoom in pictures in Stockholm at:
    https://blogg.attefall.se/fotoalbum/

    Best regards
    /magnus

Ok, thanks for sharing that. I did not think about that at all… I’ll put a note about it in the instructions / FAQ’s ??

About the coordinates/zoom: that’s not possible but I will be looking into it (plus a restriction by category name) for the next version. It’s not a bad idea…

    thanks again.
i was feeling like an idiot cause first i got it to work, then it stopped mysteriously. well, apparently that was because i decided to not put the map in posts and pages but only in the widget, now its back. important point.
