• TranslatePress offers limited compatibility with WooCommerce, especially throughout the checkout process where only the word “cart” is available for translation on multiple pages. The plugin authors should be more cautious with their marketing, considering the plugin description specifically advertises its support for WooCommerce.

The plugin also leaves data installed on the system after the plugin is removed. Apart from being a misleading practice, it also risks interfering with troubleshooting efforts. When a plugin has been uninstalled, that ought to mean the plugin and all its data are gone. At a minimum, the user should be directly informed during the removal process that data will remain. Ideally, no data should remain at all without the user actively opting in. The plugin authors do offer manual steps on how to erase their data on their website—if you know to look for it.

    Hello,

Thank you for your feedback. We regret that you have experienced difficulties.

TranslatePress indeed offers WooCommerce support, and translations should cover more than just the “Cart” page. You can translate every part of your WooCommerce store, including product pages, cart, and checkout. It’s possible that the issue you are facing might be due to some configuration errors or conflicts with other plugins. I’ll be glad to assist you further if you could provide more details about your issue.
?However, please don’t use this channel to ask for support.?In order to investigate you will have to open a ticket on our website or signal to us if you already did and continue the debugging process there.

As for data removal, installing TranslatePress data remaining on your system after you uninstall the plugin is intentional. It’s designed this way for user convenience, should you decide to reinstall the plugin. However, I understand where you are coming from. You should have the control to remove all data fully to keep your system clean or for troubleshooting purposes. We have a manual way of removing all data, and it’s explicitly stated in our documentation on our website: https://translatepress.com/docs/developers/delete-all-translations-and-plugin-data/.

    Best Regards,
