• Hi there,

We have installed and activated the Yoast SEO plugin on our WordPress website, but we are facing an issue on our website where and tags are being automatically added to certain HTML elements on some pages.

Here are the steps we took to troubleshoot:
    Theme Testing:
    – We switched to the default WordPress theme while keeping the Yoast SEO plugin active, and no extra HTML tags were added to the DOM.
    – Switching back to our current theme [Astra Pro] resulted in the unwanted
and tags being inserted into the DOM.

    Plugin Deactivation:
    – We turned off each plugin one by one to find the conflicting plugin.
    – We found that deactivating the Elementor plugin the unwanted [<br> and <p>] HTML tags are not being added to the DOM.

This makes us think that there is a conflict between Elementor and the Yoast SEO plugin when using the Astra theme. We have attached a screenshot that highlights the issue for your review. If you have encountered this issue before or have suggestions for resolving it, Please share them with us.
    It would be very helpful.

    Website Information:
    Elementor version: 3.25.3
    Astra Pro theme version: 4.8.3
    Yoast SEO version: 23.7
    WordPress version: 6.6.2
