    When I attempt to update the plugin via admin panel, The following error is received: “cURL error 51: SSL: no alternative certificate subject name matches target host name ‘downloads.www.ads-software.com’

    Hello @tgrblogger

    Thanks for using Yoast SEO. A cURL error 51 means that your host server uses an old version of cURL, TLS and / or OpenSSL, the library used to connect to other servers. When you send an update request to our servers, we do that over a secure connection.

    Since this is a problem on your host’s side, you will need to contact them and report the issue. In the meantime, please follow the instructions to?manually update your plugin.

    Thank you for replying. Just to let you know that I had considered and checked on those things before making the post. I did fail to note that we recently dropped php 8.0 support, switching to php 8.1 and above. Could that be a possible source of this issue?

    @maybellyne the issue seems to have resolved itself. Not sure why, we did not make a change after posting. If I find out in a few days, I’ll update this thread to let you know.
