• Hi, I keep getting this error message on the login when the username or password is incorrect (popup). When I disable wordfence theres no issue. I have even test it by switching of plugins and the error message kept showing up. Error message – Plugin did not receive expected response. The action might not be completed. Some other plugin or code on your site is interferring with the plugin’s functionality. Temporarily deactivate all other plugins to further confirm. To disable this message uncheck “error log” option from the settings .

Hi @previsha, thanks for getting in touch.

The message you’re seeing seems to come from Login/Signup Popup ( Inline Form + Woocommerce ) and is not a Wordfence error message. It’s likely a plugin conflict but it could be solved when Wordfence is disabled as a false-positive block might be preventing the other plugin from communicating correctly with an outside service or something within your site.

I would firstly recommend enabling Learning Mode or allowlisting directly from any blocks you see on the Live Traffic page. Both methods are explained here:?https://www.wordfence.com/help/firewall/learning-mode/

If that doesn’t solve it, Wordfence’s Login Security (2FA/reCAPTCHA) are only compatible with the default WordPress and WooCommerce login/registration forms. If this plugin creates a custom popup or form that has a different login flow to what we’re expecting, that may be another reason for the issue if you have those features enabled.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.

Hi, Thanks for the info but none of these seem to work. I’ve tried allowlist and I don’t think i have the correct param – Can you tell me what to use for url:yourwebsite.com/wp-admin/admin-ajax.php,

What should the param be and the name be?

    Hi @previsha,

You shouldn’t need to manually allowlist by inputting the params yourself if the plugin block is being detected in Live Traffic, or it works when Learning Mode is enabled. Did you try those methods and the problem returns when Learning Mode is disabled?

In order to assist with the param/name, I’d need to see a copy of the full GET/POST request made by the plugin as those will be revealed to us then. I wouldn’t know which ones are being used for your specific request at the moment.

    Thanks again,
    Peter.
