    Hello,

Sitekit has disappeared completely from the WordPress Dashboard, even though it is loaded as a plugin.

First I had an issue that it became blank and stopped showing any data. Then I reinstalled it, but now I cannot even see it on the dashboard. What can I do to get it visible again?

Hi @pyryniklas, thanks for opening a support topic. I’d be happy to look into why this is happening on your site and look to get you back up and running with Site Kit. Please could you first share the following information:

    1. Your?Site Health information. You can?use this form?to share privately if preferred.?
    2. Does the same happen when accessing your site from an Incognito window?
    3. Are you able to see the Site it dashboard when following the troubleshooting steps here?

Let me know if you have any questions in the meantime on the above information.

    1. I shared the site health info.
    2. Problem still occurs with incognito.
    3. Site Kit still fails to show up on the sidebar even with troubleshooting turned on.

@pyryniklas Could I ask you to try deleting the Site Kit plugin folder from your website directory and then reinstall and activate the plugin once again.

You can find the plugin folder at?wp-content/plugins/google-site-kit. If you are unsure on how to do this then your hosting provider will be able to help you with that Let us know if you are still facing issues after doing this.

Sir, similar issue I had; even deleting the Google-site-kit folder as explained from wp-content/plugins/google-site-kit, and reinstalling the plugin, it was checking AMP compatibility continuously on and on with the message “AMP could not check your site for compatibility issues.” my site is: https://blog.pastace.com

How do I solve the above?

@raval104 Thanks for letting us know. If you could please open your own support topic then we can assist you individually there, thanks!

Now site-kit is working fine; it may be solved due to the latest version of WP and AMP being updated.

Deleting site kit through the directory did not help with the issue unfortunately.

@pyryniklas Sorry to hear that. Could I check with you that you are using a user account that has the administrator role?

I can also see that you are using a user role editor plugin so if you are using a user account with a custom role then this could also be why you don’t see the Site Kit plugin. Could you please confirm this?

Yes I am using the account that has the administrator role.

Yes I am using the user role editor plugin, but my user is the administrator. Deactivating the plugin did not change the situation. Also I believe that when I initially downloaded the plugin, Site Kit had no issues.

@pyryniklas Thanks for confirming that you are using an admin user. Next could please try temporarily disabling all plugins except for Site Kit and also switch to a default WordPress theme? This will highlight if there are any plugins or theme conflicts that could be causing this.

If you still don’t see Site Kit on your admin dashboard then please let me know and we can continue to troubleshoot this to find the cause.

Disabling plugins and changing the theme does not help.

@pyryniklas Thanks for trying and sorry to hear that. Could you please tell me what you see when trying to access Site Kit via the direct link? For you this would be https://archibite.com/wp-admin/admin.php?page=googlesitekit-dashboard.

Could you also try disabling your user role editor plugin, while also checking can you see the Site Kit menu item if you create another admin profile and login from that profile?

Let me know how you get on with the above

@pyryniklas Thanks for sharing. If you temporarily disable the WP forms lit plugin on your site do you still encounter the same issue? If you do then would it be possible for you to share a recording of your experience? You can use a service such as Loom to record and share the video URL here.

    Hello,

Thank you for the help, I found the issue. Somehow even if I was the admin, the user roles plugin was causing the issues. I added a few more roles to my user and Sitekit reappeared.
