    Hello Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am reaching out for assistance regarding a login functionality issue on my WooCommerce website.

Currently, users are only able to log in using their username and password. However, my goal is to enable users to log in using their email address their password. I believe this would improve the user experience significantly, as many users may expect to log in with their email address.

Here’s a quick overview of the issue:

    • Users can successfully log in when they enter their username and password.
    • When users attempt to log in using their email address and password, they receive an error message ( “Wrong Username or Password! “).

Could you please provide guidance on how I can enable email-based login functionality, or suggest any plugins or code adjustments that may be necessary to achieve this?

    Hello Niketan Tote,

Thank you for contacting WooCommerce support.

I understand your users are only able to log in using their username and password.
Your goal is to enable users to log in using their email address and their password.

Could you share the login page URL with me?
Just the URL, do not share any username or password.

Please note that core WordPress accepts both username and email at the login page.
This is a core WordPress feature and not a WooCommerce feature.

Would it be possible for you to disable WooCommerce for a few minutes and try logging in using an email address? I want to confirm if this is related to WooCommerce.

Please let me know about your findings.
Once I have more information, I will be in a better position to assist you further.

    Best regards.

    Hello,

I am reaching out for assistance with an issue related to disabling WooCommerce plugins on my website. Due to multiple plugins that are integrated with WooCommerce, I am encountering errors whenever I attempt to disable the WooCommerce plugin itself, which prevents me from proceeding.

I would greatly appreciate it if you could assist by testing the following issue with the URL provided below, and let me know of any potential solutions. Registration Form is in Popup

    Hi there!

I understand your concern; troubleshooting with just the site URL can be challenging. To identify the root cause, you’ll need to deactivate plugins one by one.

Please note that you’ll need to deactivate all WooCommerce-related plugins before you can safely deactivate WooCommerce itself.

I recommend performing a conflict test by following the instructions in this article: How to Test for Conflicts. This way, your live site remains unaffected, as you can conduct the testing on a staging site.

Performing a conflict test can be a time-consuming, technical challenge. If you’d like someone else to do this work for you, our trusted partner, Codeable, has an [offering] where they will run this test for $150?USD. If there is time left, they will also fix the problems they found.

    Thank you!
